Scotland’s leading animal disease research station, the Moredun Research Institute, will receive a £2,000 grant from the Blackface Sheep Breeders’ Association in support of research to find solutions to combat sheep diseases.
Professor Lee Innes, from Moredun, said: “We are delighted to receive this donation from the Blackface Sheep Breeders Association to help support our research into sheep diseases.
“Moredun has a long and proud history of working in partnership with sheep breeders to find solutions to combat infectious diseases in livestock and this model of working has brought significant successes over the years. We would like to thank the Blackface Sheep Breeders Association for your valuable support.”
Alec Telfer, President of the Blackface Sheep Breeders Association, said: “We are very pleased to support Moredun for the long term in the great work they do for our industry and in the ongoing battle to find solutions to existing and emerging animal health issues.
