Canine By Design’s training and boarding program is a comprehensive training option suitable for all breeds and ages of dogs, including service dogs. The program includes training in different settings, such as the training center, the dog house, and various public places. The dogs will remain at the center, with little to no contact with their owners, allowing the trainer to fully focus on the dog’s training needs and work on obedience, behavior modification, social skills and more. Since owners won’t be seeing their dogs during training, staff can send them videos and pictures to stay up-to-date. The puppy training program teaches basic house manners to pets between the ages of 6 months and two years. It focuses on potty training, establishing a good foundation for the dog, enjoyable crate time, confidence building, clear communication, and environmental training exercises. If puppies have already started teething, trainers wait until the pet has lost all of its puppy teeth to enroll them in their Basic Obedience program. Puppy training takes two weeks and uses rewarding behaviors to give the puppy a push from house manners toward basic obedience.
